Description
Every semester, the staff of The Alcalá Review works diligently to compile an outstanding literary journal, containing works of fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and photography from USD's undergraduate community. Through the semester, we read and edit submitted works, collaborating closely with artists and authors to put together an extraordinary exemplar of the talent being cultivated at our very own university. In conjunction, we host a variety of events, including lively open mic nights and exciting creative writing workshops, to further entice enthusiasm around USD's amazing creative writing community.
Donations!
Donations will be applied to the things AR is in most need of, particular to the two separate funds of journal publishing and event planning. It is most important for us to print a physical journal, so any donations will be allocated to that venture foremost. Then, any further monies will be applied to the security of our semester-end event, including venue, food, and remuneration of outside performers.

Why are donations necessary?
Though our passion is limitless, our resources, unfortunately, are not. Especially as we go to compile our journal, we are in need of donations to aid in the publication and printing process. In tandem, we like to end the semester with a magnificent publishing party, where we invite the authors being published, as well as more established and esteemed writers, to read their respective impressive works.
