About NSBE
My name is Faith Osei-Tutu and I am the current president of an organization at the University of San Diego called National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE). NSBE is an organization that is dedicated to increasing diversity in STEM careers while providing members with the necessary resources to market themselves to companies, improve their academic standing, and positively impact their community. Despite the name, NSBE is not limited to Black engineers, rather we are an organization that strives to help any student thrive in their academia and those who feel they can benefit from our career development opportunities.
Donations are applied to...
Financially sponsoring NSBE members to attend The National Society of Black Engineers' 49th Annual Convention in Kansas City, Missouri. Your donation will purchase flight tickets, dinner, and hotel reservations.
Why are donations necessary?
We are raising money to sponsor members of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) to attend the annual convention in Kansas City, Missouri. This event connects over 250 companies to 10,000+ minority STEM majors. At this convention students and Fortune 500 companies are able to network, recruit, and secure positions for their future. USD’s NSBE chapter has attended the National Convention for the past eight years and each year over a dozen members of our chapter receive internships and full-time positions. Over the years our members have received offers from Google, SpaceX, Tesla, Boeing, Raytheon Technologies, and Lockheed Martin to name a few.
