The USD Equestrian club allows students to pursue their passion for riding horses while in college. We compete in IHSA competitions against schools like UCLA and USC. This year we get the opportunity to host a show for our region in December. Hosting a successful show can be quite expensive, so we are asking for donations to help cover our costs. We do make some revenue at the show but it does not cover all of the expenses. In order to compete at the other competitions in our region, we have to limit our costs from our hosted show. Your generous donation will allow us to cover the costs of hosting our show at Galway downs in December. Some of the costs include arena fees, stall fees, facility fees, and jump fees. We also have to pay for judges, ribbons and prizes to give out to winners. Our costs for hosting the show will come out to about $5000. Our team members worked hard over the summer to find creative ways to bring costs down and raise extra revenue but we still need some help!

Thank you for checking out our campaign! All of our team members have been working very hard to make the show successful so we appreciate you supporting us. We would not be able to host a successful show and pursue our love for horses with out you. We appreciate any donations you can make!
Why are donations necessary?
We receive limited funding from USD which means we have to raise the rest of our funds. Competing at IHSA shows is expensive. The team has to pay entries, trailing for the horses, and trainer fees, so in order to keep our club financially accessible for students, we are trying to fund the show as a separate entity. This is in an effort to to keep our membership dues low to allow for a large team where we can be more competitive against other schools like UCLA that have over 50 members on their team.
